Byron Bay and Hinterland
Byron Bay offers plenty of riding opportunities. Wait for low tide and ride along the beach from Broken Head to Cape Byron or tour off-road tracks around the headland. If you’re keen for a challenge, there’s also secluded rainforest mountain trails.
The Mawson is a mountain bike trail through the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and into the Flinders Ranges. It’s a challenging off-road track with some steep sections. It’s 900kms long and takes around 16 days to complete. This track also has great scenic views for you to enjoy.

Depending on how many detours you take, the distance ranges from 460 to 840km. It can be done in about 6 days.
