Attention all cyclists! The Brisbane Cycling Festival is once again rolling into town for a thrilling 2 and a half weeks.
From the 24th of March to the 12th of April 2021, there will be a plethora of events on offer.
Brisbane bikers of all abilities will be able to get active and enjoy plenty of entertainment in the single largest multidisciplinary cycling festival in Australia.
Following the cancellation of the 2020 event, the 2021 festival is gearing up to be the biggest and best one yet with the return of the major events as well as some new activities to look forward to.
Here is what’s on offer this year…
Track National Championships
Ride on over to the Anna Meares Velodrome to catch a glimpse of the biggest domestic track event in the country.
Australia’s best track cyclist will be racing for the sought-after green and gold jersey and the title of national champion.
Mark the dates down in your diary as you won’t want to miss this!
- Elite & U19: 24 – 28 March 2021
- Masters: 31 March – 3 April 2021
- Juniors: 6 – 10 April 2021
The Festival Village
The Festival Village is set to be the hub of the festival, located at the iconic Brisbane Showgrounds.
There will be heaps to see and do for the whole family, with plenty of food, e-bike demos and entertainment. Make sure to check out:

Active Lifestyle Expo
The Active Lifestyle Expo is running from the 9th to 11th of April and is the hero of the Festival Village.
There is something for everyone at the expo with the best cycling technology and products, live entertainment, food and beverages, fashion parades and cycling clothing stores. It’s a free, outdoor event and is guaranteed to have a great atmosphere!
For those owners with health-orientated wares, you can get in on the fun yourself and book a booth to showcase your business!
Spokes N’ Jokes
This is a must attend event for the passionate corporate cycling community, industry participants and cycling enthusiasts.
If you manage to nab a ticket, you’ll enjoy a couple of hours of beverages, canapés and entertainment by comedian Dusty Rich and musician Andy Ellem.
Additionally, there will be a storytelling session with past cycling greats including Katherine Bates, Robbie McEwen, Sara Carrigan and Henk Vogels, focussing on the lighter side of cycling.
